India and Russia have agreed to strengthen military and economic ties after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met Vladimir Putin in Russia. This could be seen as an act to counter China's growing influence and the United State's presence in the region. Russia has agreed to sell 120 fighter jets to India, and today is one of the leading exporters of weapons in the world. Russia is also planning on building nuclear reactors in India which may infuriate Pakistan. Russia's arms sales could also be seen as a "fuck you" to the United States who is an ally of Pakistan. China may not like this so much either because it may see this arms sale as a threat to it's superiority in Asia. Will these arms sales finally convince all these emerging superpowers( India, Pakistan, China, Russia, and the United States all possess nuclear weapons) to fire there nuclear salvos at one another and thrust us all into nuclear winter, or will it just make these superpowers hate each other even more? Probably the latter although watching Armageddon from afar would be pretty damn cool.
