Sexy French bachelor/president looks towards the gulf

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has signed a deal with The United Arab Emirates allowing 500 military personnel to set up military bases within the country. It looks like the French are trying to follow in the same footsteps as the Americans which may be a bad move becuase the U.S. is extremly unpopular in this part of the world. This probably wont be the first country to accept French troops within thier borders and it looks like the gulf could have a sizeable French presence in the future. You would think the French would have had enough of the Arab countries, especially after they colonized Lebanon and Syria back in the early 20th century. Not to mention French North Africa, which the French lost after heavy Moroccan, Algierian, and Tunisian resistance pushed them out of the region. Ever heard of the Battle of Algiers? Well imagine that hapening again in 50 years, except this time its called the Battle of Dubai or whatever Gulf Country has a French military presence. Anyway it's possible that Al-Qeada will began to target French forces from now on. Sarkozy should know that Al-Qeada does now want foriegners stationed in the region, and stationing soldiers around there is just a bad idea. Hell, its possible that in 50 years time the persian Gulf will no longer be called the Persian gulf, but the Franco-American gulf or something like that. It appears that the West is once again, setting themselves up for another shitty mess.
